Sign Language Music by Branislav Zdravkovic

Branislav Zdravkovic, Sign Language Performer
"Growing up with different languages, I communicate in different ways in my life, at work and with my family. I don't just rap with my voice, but with my whole body; with facial expressions, gestures and sign language. Just like the Diversity Ball, I see variety as an enrichment for the community and as basis for my artistic expression."

Ensemble "Klangschalen" / "Singing Bowls"

The "Singing Bowl" creates sound patterns and meditative music for the soul and arranges “healing songs” - on acoustical instruments and with the voice.
Percussion, guitar, bass and diverse other instruments form the basis of this experience.
The "Singing Bowl" consists of the musicians Sarah Eibensteiner, Kurt Engleder, Thomas Hinterstoisser, Desi Mayr, Axel Priessner and Berta Pytlik together with the music therapists Gerda Brock, Stefan Vogt and their assistent Doris Webinger, devoting a year of voluntary work.

ICCHP 2012 Gala Dinner

Logo OberbankICCHP is committed to its role of transferring the idea and concept of an open in inclusive society into mainstream. Culture and art are powerful vehicle to support a change in awareness, understanding and attitudes regarding inclusion and participation in society.

Therefore, ICCHP in co-operation with Oberbank, Donauforum Linz and Upper Austrian Champer of Labour proudly announces:

Dame Evelyn Glennie:
"Listening with your whole body"

Dame Evelyn Glennie, percussionist
Awarded Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2007 Evelyn Glennie is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a solo percussionist. As one of the most eclectic and innovative musicians on the scene today she is constantly redefining the goals and expectations of percussion by creating performances of such vitality they almost constitute a new type of performance.
Profoundly deaf since the age of 12, Evelyn speaks passionately about subjects including education, business and of course music. Her speaking engagements are defined as a „dialogue with a difference“, using the medium of music to demonstrate and enhance the importance of our listening skills amongst the cacophony of modern day sounds.
With her unique perspective and outlook, an attitude to her ongoing and diverse career that doesn‘t accept „no“ to be an answer and a proven track record in educational and disability issues, Evelyn is as compelling a motivational speaker as she has proved to be a musician.
