UNSESCO patronage for ICCHP

The Directora-Gerneral of UNESCO granted to patronage to ICCHP:

INFOTERM and ICCHP announce the eAccessibility Standardisation Initiative:

"eAccessibility through standardisation"
At this year's ICCHP a Special Thematic Session, a special workshop and a high level meeting will discuss standardisation strategies related to eAccessibility. It is the goal of these activities to issue a recommendation towards policy makers and high-level management to support standardisation as an enabler for eAccessibility.

At the Special Workshop on “Standards: Indispensible and Strategic for Accessibility” two presentations (download the ISO presentaiton) were given and the International Workshop “Accessibility and the contribution of International Standards” organized by the World Standards Cooperation (WSC) announced. ISO also presented a list of International Standards pertinent to eAccessibility and eInclusion published as ISO/IEC TR 29138-2:2009 which can be freely downloaded from:

A report of the STS: Standards: A Driver for Accessibility and Usability, Special Workshop on Standards: Indispensible and Strategic for Accessibility and High-level Standardization Cooperation Group Meeting is available. As a result of this initiative the Recommendation on software and content development principles has been formulated. Please feel free to make use of this Recommendation within the sphere of your activities.
